Over this past year I have come to realize one of the primary reasons why missing children remain missing. Those who have the investigative skills necessary to pursue leads that law enforcement can't, or for whatever reason won't, are usually private investigators out to exploit victims' families for personal gain. Words cannot convey how despised such are in my eyes.

Too often what is presented as fact is simply biased propaganda angled to sway the public into complacency. Such is the case with the NSMART "data", "statistics" and "facts" produced regarding missing children. The information is produced by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) and is used to formulate training for law enforcement across the country. Traditional Limitations

Most of us across the US have had difficulties dealing with law enforcement. Particularly disparaging are situations where the police have “done all they can do”, and still your child is missing. Still there are no viable leads. Even more heartrending is waiting year after year as the case grows colder and colder, with little to no activity. Many become frustrated, even hateful toward law enforcement, and end up hopeless.

Rather than blame the police, peace comes as we seek to understand...
